The Pets Today 2026 exhibition, the major trade event for the pet industry, concluded on a highly positive note. Held from 2 to 4 October, the event once again confirmed its role as an important meeting point for professionals, businesses and industry stakeholders.
The exhibition attracted more than 2,500 professionals from across Greece and abroad, recording strong and steady attendance throughout the three-day event. The high turnout highlighted the growing interest in the pet industry and the strong reach of Pets Today both across Greece and internationally.
Particularly significant was the broad representation of the Greek market, with approximately 95% of the industry in Greece participating in the exhibition. This created a comprehensive meeting point for the market, offering valuable opportunities for networking, new business partnerships, and the exchange of knowledge and experience.
At the same time, Pets Today had a strong international presence, with exhibitors from Romania, Poland, Turkey, Serbia, China and Italy, further strengthening the event’s international outlook and creating opportunities for professional contacts and partnerships beyond the Greek market.
A space for knowledge and inspiration for industry professionals
A special highlight of this year’s event was the Inspiration Area, a dedicated space for information, education and knowledge sharing.
Throughout the three days, a rich programme of presentations and talks addressed the current needs and challenges faced by industry professionals. Social media and digital marketing, emerging Internet Marketing trends, the use of Artificial Intelligence tools for pet shop marketing, communication and sales, customer experience and service, staff management and motivation, financial management, as well as techniques for growing small businesses were among the key topics explored during the programme.
With practical advice and contemporary approaches, the Inspiration Area provided a space for meaningful discussion while offering professionals useful tools for the day-to-day operation and growth of their businesses. Πρόγραμμα Inspiration Area Πρόγραμμα Inspiration Area
The Pet Biz Excellence Awards ceremony
One of the highlights of the event was the Pet Biz Excellence Awards ceremony, where awards were presented to the winners, recognising and honouring the businesses and professionals who stood out in the industry.
The ceremony was a particularly moving and distinguished moment for the industry, highlighting the creativity, dedication and business excellence that characterise the pet market.
The presence of Deputy Minister of the Interior Vassilis Spanakis
The official opening of Pets Today was honoured by the presence of Deputy Minister of the Interior Vassilis Spanakis, who officially declared the exhibition open, highlighting through his presence the importance of the event and the wider pet industry.
Steady attendance despite exceptional circumstances
Of particular significance was the fact that the exhibition maintained steady visitor attendance despite the exceptional circumstances on Saturday. Despite the difficulties in accessing the venue and the restrictions in place that day, visitor numbers remained at a particularly satisfactory level, confirming the strong interest of both industry professionals and visitors in the event.
Pets Today 2026 therefore concluded on a highly positive note: with more than 2,500 visitors, strong representation of the Greek market, international participation, a rich programme of educational activities and a significant awards ceremony, the exhibition served for three days as a meeting point for knowledge, networking, business development and international outreach within the pet industry.
The strong response from visitors and exhibitors provides a solid foundation for the further development of Pets Today, with the aim of strengthening its role as a leading meeting point for the pet industry in Greece and the wider region.
