The family poultry breeding and trading business PSYCHOGYIOS was founded in 1952 in Lykovrysi, Attica, with the aim of the systematic breeding and processing of meat-producing and egg-producing hens in a privately owned poultry farm-slaughterhouse and to this day, 65 years later, it continues to supply the Greek public with excellent quality meat and poultry bearing an exclusively Greek stamp.
In the first steps of the business, the owners dealt exclusively with poultry farming and all stages of the production process & meat processing, from rearing in chicken coops to slaughter and retail sale of the products. In 1989, a complete fresh meat processing & cutting unit was built on privately owned land in the area of Lykovrysi, 92 Sofoklis Venizelou, with a corresponding creation of a retail and wholesale service station in the same area.
The upward trend continued, the first poultry business grew even more and in order to respond to the high demand and provide a variety of choices in classic meats & poultry of the Greek countryside, it launched partnerships with certified meat producers & small Greek family farms
